The Negotiators is a global online negotiation competition that is open to anyone who would like to practice, embed and enhance their negotiation skills.

As a new innovation from The Gap Partnership, we are running a pilot in January 2022. If you would like to take part, please register to enter now. Entry to the pilot is free and limited to the first 100 people.

As the world turns increasingly digital, The Negotiators provides a valuable opportunity to practice negotiating virtually with other skilled negotiators from around the world.

Through a series of live negotiations, contestants accrue points which are displayed on our live leaderboard. As the competition unfolds, those with the most points progress to knock-out rounds, until the final two negotiators compete in a live final to win the title of Negotiation World Champion.

Entry to the pilot is free and includes membership to The Negotiation Society and all of the tools and resources within it to help prepare.

How does it work?

During round one all contestants will negotiate a minimum of four and a maximum of eight short ten-minute negotiations. At the end of round one, the top 32 contestants will proceed to the knock-out stage of the competition going head to head with negotiators from around the world until just two are left to compete to become world champion.

Rules and FAQs

Before each negotiation, contestants will receive case notes and instructions to help them prepare. At the end of the negotiation, contestants must agree the result and submit a deal sheet. Points are awarded based on the agreed result. A no-deal results in zero points being awarded to both parties. Please ensure you familiarize yourself with the FAQs and rules before entering.

Enter the competition

Entry is open to anyone with a passion for negotiation. As this is our pilot, there will be no entry fee, however we request that you complete a feedback form for us at the end. The pilot will run from 10th January 2022 and the live final will take place on 18th February 2022. Contestants must ensure they are available for all dates during the knock out rounds; round 2 up to the final.
